Inbound to Mexico

  1. 1.SHIPPER/CONSIGNEE/NOTIFY
    1. The shipper, consignee and notify party shall provide specific and complete company name, address and contact information.
    2. The consignee and notify party must hold a Tax Identification Number (RFC) or tax number for tax payment to ensure smooth manifest declaration of goods at the destination port. If the consignee is marked as "TO ORDER", "TO ORDER OF SHIPPER" or "TO ORDER OF BANK", the notify party must provide the Tax Identification Number (RFC) or tax number for tax payment.
  2. 2.CARGO NAME
    1. Accurate and specific commodity names are required. General descriptions such as "general goods", "dry goods", "chemicals", "perishable food", "bulk cargo" or "mineral bulk cargo" are not acceptable. For dangerous goods, their hazard class, UN number and emergency contact telephone number must be indicated.
    2. Accurate number of packages with unit measurement, gross weight or volume, and seal numbers shall be provided.
  3. 3.Restrictions on Pallet Usage

    Wooden pallets must undergo fumigation with a fumigation certificate attached, and the customs broker shall file a declaration with Mexican Customs. No customs declaration is required for plastic pallets.
