Inbound to Japan

  1. 1.SHIPPER/CONSIGNEE/NOTIFY

    Full and accurate company name, address, email address and contact information shall be provided.

  2. 2.CARGO NAME

    Full and accurate cargo description must be provided.

  3. 3.HS Code

    A 6-digit HS Code must be provided.

  4. 4.AMENDMENTS MANIFEST

    Amendment to manifest particulars shall not be permitted after the consignee submits the import declaration. Consolidation of bills of lading is prohibited once cargoes have been delivered to the Container Yard (where unloading confirmation and registration data are transmitted to Customs).

  5. 5.Advance Filing Rules
    1. Carriers must transmit manifest data to the NACCS System (Japan Customs) no later than 24 hours prior to vessel departure from the port of loading, and customers shall cooperate to furnish relevant documents. Failure to file manifest information or timely rectify erroneous data before the vessel arrives in Japan may result in Japan Customs disallowing cargo discharge or imposing penalties.
    2. NVOCCs issuing House B/Ls shall report manifest particulars of all House B/Ls under the corresponding Master B/L to the NACCS System (Japan Customs).
